If you’ve ever wanted to experience the rhythm of offshore sailing—the strategy, the watchkeeping, and the long game—MarineVerse Globe is built for you.

MarineVerse Globe is our persistent VR world where you sail in real-time weather conditions, crossing oceans just like in real life. Your boat keeps moving 24/7, even when you log off, making every passage a true journey.

Right now, the fleet is deep into the Melbourne to Wellington race. It has been a challenging crossing across the Tasman Sea, and as of today, the lead boat is just ~100 NM from the finish line in Wellington!

Why sail Globe?

It is a surprisingly fun way to practice the critical mental aspects of ocean racing from the safety of your home:

  • Weather Routing: You are sailing in real-time weather patterns. Timing a system versus getting parked in a high-pressure ridge makes all the difference.
  • Watch Keeping: There is no autopilot for navigation hazards. Your boat sails while you sleep, but it is up to you to check in and ensure you don’t hit land.

A new experiment: Visualizing the Voyage

We want Globe to be more than just a leaderboard; we want it to be a canvas for digital storytelling. Track on a map tells where you went, but it doesn’t capture what it felt like. We want to give you the tools to illustrate your own adventure, transforming raw race data into beautiful visuals.

"Canada III🇨🇦 wins the SF to Valparaiso race."

To make this possible, we are experimenting with state-of-the-art image generation models. Using the experimental Nano Banana Pro tool, you can now generate custom “digital postcards” of your boat in action.

Whether you are battling a storm in the Southern Ocean or enjoying a sunset near the coast, you can now bring those moments to life. Here are a few examples generated with the new tool:
